The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has issued instructions to citizens traveling to mountainous areas on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
The instructions were issued by the NCOC after a high-level meeting. The meeting was attended by Federal Minister for Health Abdul Qadir Patel and Chief of National Institutes of Health Major General Amir Ikram among others.
Federal Minister for Health Abdul Qadir Patel, who belongs to the Pakistan Peoples Party, said that steps were being taken under a coordinated strategy to prevent corona, ensuring all measures to protect the people from corona.
He said that tourists should strictly adhere to Corona SOPs during the journey, the risk of Corona spreading is high in crowded places, make sure to use masks and hand sanitizers.
Federal Minister for Health Abdul Qadir Patel said that to ensure that all tourists are fully vaccinated, the government is taking practical steps to improve the health sector.
Major General Amir Ikram, head of the National Institutes of Health, quoted the tourists as saying that they should make sure that they get information about the weather conditions before embarking on their journey and avoid passing through landslide-prone places carelessly.
