The Federal Cabinet has approved the appointment of Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi Ghulam Nabi Memon as IG Sindh. Are
Ghulam Nabi Memon, a Grade 21 officer of the Police Service of Pakistan, is currently working as Additional IG Karachi.
According to police sources, he was recommended by the Sindh government to be appointed as IG Sindh.
According to sources, several names were considered in the federal cabinet in this regard but Ghulam Nabi Memon was approved to be appointed as Inspector General of Police Sindh.
Ghulam Nabi Memon has been Additional IG Karachi before while he has also been posted as Additional IG Special Branch.
