Demand for investigation into allegations of sexual harassment against Justice (R) Javed Iqbal

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan has said that the shocking allegations leveled against Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal, former head of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), should be transparently and independently investigated and if these allegations are proved, he should be removed from office. Should.

The commission said it had “taken serious note of the allegations of sexual harassment” against Javed Iqbal, who is also chairman of the Commission of Inquiry into Enforced Disappearances.

The commission said in a statement that it was of great concern to the HRCP that the allegations were made by a woman who had approached Justice (retd) Iqbal as its COIED chairman.
