Deputy Speaker went to Iqbal House for meeting despite receiving

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former provincial minister Mian Mahmood Rasheed has said that the deputy speaker will approach the Election Commission and the court against the Punjab Assembly.

Mian Mahmood Al-Rasheed has said that the notice was received by the staff of Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad Mazari.

He said that despite receiving the Deputy Speaker’s notice, he went to Aiwan-e-Iqbal for a meeting on which legal action would be taken.

It may be mentioned that the budget meeting convened by Governor Punjab in Aiwan-e-Iqbal has been presided over by Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Dost Muhammad Mazari. Provincial Finance Minister Owais Leghari has presented the budget for the next financial year.

Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Dost Mohammad Mazari had said in a conversation with Hum News yesterday that the governor is constitutionally and legally authorized to convene a meeting. He said that he would preside over the meeting convened in Aiwan-e-Iqbal in the absence of the Speaker.
