Drone chemotherapy drug delivery plan

The British National Health Service (NHS) has announced that for the first time in the world, chemotherapy drugs will be transferred by drone. This will enable timely delivery of medicines to cancer patients.

Patients will not have to wait long for this method of delivering chemotherapy medicine from the drone because first of all the medicine is prepared for each patient and it is useful to apply it immediately. On the other hand, patients in small areas have to travel to big cities for chemotherapy. Drones can be very helpful in this context.

The staff of the Department of Medicine at the University of Portsmouth Hospital has planned to send chemotherapy medicine to the Island of White from an automatic drone of a company called Epian. Drones built for medical purposes can fly for up to an hour and a half on a single charge. Thus, sending medicine to the NHS will take only half an hour instead of four hours.
