The Economic Co-ordination Committee (ECC) has allowed the TCP to import 200,000 metric tonnes of urea on deferred payment.
The ECC gave this permission in a meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Finance Muftah Ismail. The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers, Federal Ministers of State, Federal Secretaries and concerned senior officials.
The meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Finance Muftah Ismail considered the summary of payment of price differential claims of oil marketing companies and refineries of Petroleum Division.
At the meeting, the ECC approved a supplementary grant of Rs. 55 billion under summary. The supplementary grant was approved for the first 15 days of May 2022.
According to Hum News, at the ECC meeting, the Federal Ministry of Industries and Production presented a summary on import of urea on which TCP was allowed to import 200,000 metric tons of urea on deferred payment.
