During the by-election in NA-240 in Karachi, a firing incident took place on the car of Pak-Sar-Zamin Party (PSP) President Anis Qaim Khani.
According to sources, Anis Qaim Khani was not in the vehicle at the time of firing.
Anis Qaim Khani claimed that 4 to 5 people opened fire on his car and 4 bullets were fired at his car.
It may be recalled that the incident took place at a time when polling for NA-240 by-election was going on in Karachi.
During the polling, two political parties clashed at Government Boys Primary School, Ansari Mohalla, UC-2, Landhi. Police charged batons to disperse the activists of the political party. The situation was brought under control.
Out of the total 309 polling stations in the constituency, 203 were declared as highly sensitive where cameras were installed at booths including polling stations.
This seat of NA-240 was vacated by the death of Iqbal Muhammad Ali Khan of MQM Pakistan.
