Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Meets His Chinese Counterpart, Discusses Bilateral Relations And Issues Of Mutual Interest

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari arrived in China on a two-day official visit, where he met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Jiechi.

In Guangzhou, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Jie discussed the development of bilateral relations and issues of mutual interest.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari arrived in China on a two-day official visit at the special invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Jiechi. He is accompanied by Minister of State for External Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar and senior Foreign Ministry officials.

In this regard, the Foreign Office said that during the visit, the Foreign Minister will hold extensive consultations with his Chinese counterpart, reviewing all aspects of bilateral relations with a special focus on trade and economic cooperation between the two Foreign Ministers. Will take

The Foreign Office Spokesperson said that the two Foreign Ministers will also discuss the progress on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, the Belt and Road Initiative flagship project, and the two sides will discuss a wide range of important regional and international issues.

According to Foreign Office Spokesperson, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s visit is on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. The two Foreign Ministers had earlier held a virtual meeting on May 11, 2022.
