The Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar said that a protest was recorded in Islamabad on the issue of blasphemous statements of the spokespersons of the Indian ruling party BJP. Protesting against the ridiculous statements of senior officials.
Foreign Office spokesman Asim Iftikhar said that Pakistan had strongly protested against the ridiculous statements of two senior BJP officials from the Indian charge d’affaires.
He said that the Indian charge d’affaires had been told that these statements were completely unacceptable.
Foreign Office spokesman says Pakistan is deeply concerned about the alarming rise in sectarian violence and hatred against Muslims in India. There is nothing but obvious consequences of Islamophobia in society.
He said in his statement that Pakistan regretted the delay in taking action by the BJP government against these officials. Pakistan urges the BJP leadership and the government to unequivocally condemn the insulting remarks made by BJP officials.
He said that Indian leaders should be held accountable through decisive and actionable action and India should take immediate steps to protect minorities from human rights violations.
He said that Pakistan was urging the international community, the United Nations and the OIC to take notice of the Islamophobia affecting Hindutva which was growing alarmingly in India.
