He says that the process of getting out of Pakistan’s gray list has started. It is hoped that the process of getting out of the gray list will be completed by October. Pakistan’s efforts to meet all the conditions have been recognized. The FATF has given two action plans simultaneously.
He said that after the removal of FATF from the gray list, it would have a positive impact on the economy. The process of getting out of the gray list has started.
He said that there was no doubt that the conditions of FATF were difficult. Our success is the result of a difficult journey of 4 years. Governments come and go but the work done by the state is commendable. Reiterates commitment to boost the economy.
He said that FATF said that Pakistan had worked hard to stop the financing of terrorists and money laundering. FATF said that Pakistan had done its best to meet the conditions. According to FATF, Pakistan’s performance was appreciated by the member countries. No action is pending against Pakistan.
He said that the first action plan took time to complete but the second volume was completed. During the FATF meeting, meetings were held with various leaders on the sidelines. Pakistan’s cooperation with FATF and the international community is part of efforts to improve the economy. National and provincial institutions also did their job well.
He said that for us this is not the end but the beginning of the journey, we have to continue our efforts. Pakistan will try never to go on the gray list again. I want Pakistan to be seen as a responsible country. Pakistan fought its case in the best possible way.
He said the government and parliament had enacted legislation on the plan. The FATF team will visit Pakistan to further review the fulfillment of the conditions. The FATF team will inspect the legislative initiatives and the secretariat.
