The PCB Governing Board has approved Rs 15 billion for the new financial year, increasing the number of players on central contracts and their monthly salaries.
This was stated by Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Rameez Raja while addressing a press conference in Lahore. Rameez Raja said that the governing board of the PCB has approved a budget of Rs 15 billion for the new financial year. 78% of the approved budget will be spent on cricket-related activities.
Rameez Raja said that the popularity of Central Contract players has been increased, the number of players who have won Central Main Contract has been increased from 20 to 33 and we are introducing Red Ball and White Ball for the first time in Central Contract. ۔
Chairman Cricket Board said that changing the team in the World Cup T20 proved to be a turning point, beating India in the World Cup increased the commercial value of the team.
Rameez Raja further said that change of chairman is a tradition with change of prime minister, so it is not a good tradition.
