Leading Indian filmmaker and director Kiran Johar has been named in a hit list prepared by a criminal gang allegedly involved in the murder of world-renowned Indian rapist Sadhu Musa Wala.
The Times of India and The Daily Star quoted the leading Indian newspaper as saying that the revelation came as police interrogated a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, allegedly involved in the murder of Sadhu Musa, while in custody.
Lawrence Bishnai gang operatives revealed that under the hit list prepared, the gang was also to receive extortion from well-known filmmaker and director Kiran Johar.
According to Indian media reports, a close associate of Sadhu Musawala’s shooter Santosh Jadhav, Sudhish Kambale alias Mahakal, who is in the custody of Pune police for being involved in another case, has provided important information to the police regarding Sadhu’s murder.
A gang member told police that a total of Rs 50 million was planned to be extorted from Karan Johar. Under the plan, the gang was to receive Rs 50 million from Karan Johar by making threats.
Sudhish told police that Vikram Brar, the brother of Goldie Brar, a Canadian-based gangster, had talked to me about the plans on Instagram.
According to media reports, the police spokesperson said that further investigation is being carried out as we suspect that Sudhish may have made a false statement regarding Karan Johar.
In this regard, the police spokesman said that on such occasions, the accused often tell such lies even for the sake of bragging.
It may be recalled that a few days ago, prominent Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father also received death threats in writing, after which their security has been beefed up.
