Inauguration Ceremony of Martyrs Memorial was held in Azad Kashmir which was attended by Army Chief and President Dr. Arif Alvi. Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, President Azad Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, Chairman Parliamentary Kashmir Committee Shehryar Khan Afridi, Opposition Leaders and others were present.

The memorials commemorate the martyrs in Kashmir and the sacrifices of the martyrs have been highlighted. The memorial has been constructed to pay homage to those who sacrificed their lives in the Martyrs’ Movement for Independence of Kashmir.

Addressing the function on the occasion, President Dr. Arif Alvi said that today is telling what is happening in Occupied Kashmir. Muslims tried to stay with India but it was made clear in The two nations cannot coexist.

He said that India was proving the two nation ideology true every day. India has used violence against women as a weapon and India’s thinking is extremist. Women in hijab are being expelled from educational institutions.

The President said that the principle of struggle is that we will remember every incident. India calls itself secular but in reality it has extremist thinking.

He said that pellet guns are being used in Kashmir, it is a world of interests and it is not only a matter of Kashmir but also of Palestine but there is no question of human rights but war of interests is going on.

Dr. Arif Alvi said that Pak forces replied to India that if they raise their hands they will raise their hands. The war of oppression is going on in occupied Kashmir and the Indian government is misleading the people. There is Hindutva thinking in India and hatred is spreading.
