Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government announces cuts in petroleum product costs

After the federation and Sindh province, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also announced a 35% reduction in the cost of petroleum products in government institutions.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan said that he would take further steps to spend people’s money only on the people.

On the other hand, the Pakhtunkhwa Finance Department said that a 35 per cent cut in oil by government departments would result in huge savings. Prices of petroleum products have gone up by Rs 60 per liter.

Following the recent increase, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced austerity measures and decided to cut free petrol to cabinet members and government officials.

In addition, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has reduced the petrol quota of ministers and officials by 40%
