Famous Indian singer Krishna Kumar Kanath alias K died of a heart attack.
According to Indian media reports, the 53-year-old singer suffered a heart attack after a live concert in Kolkata and was rushed to a local private hospital but could not recover.
Media reports said he performed live at the concert before suffering a heart attack and was in good health.
KK’s debut album ‘Pul’ came out in 1999 and he never looked back and sang one superhit song after another.
His superhit songs include the song ‘Tarp Tarp’, ‘Das Bahane’ and ‘Tone Mari Entriyan’ from the movie ‘Hum Dil De Chake Sanam’. The songs sung by singer KK have been filmed on Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and other actors.
Apart from Hindi films, he has sung in other local languages and has won many awards.
An investigation has been launched into the cause of death of Indian singer KK, police have registered a case of unnatural death.
Police are trying to find out from the CCTV footage what happened before the Indian singer was taken to the hospital. KK’s body will be taken to Mumbai after the postmortem is completed.
Performances during the K were also seen drunk and restless as the AC in the auditorium was not working while the video of him being taken to the hospital has also come to light.
