NCOC decides on rapid antigen testing on return of pilgrims

The National Command and Control Center (NCOC) has expressed concern about the transmission of the corona virus by pilgrims returning from Saudi Arabia.

The NCOC has decided to conduct rapid antigen testing on the return of pilgrims and has issued guidelines to the airport authorities.

In the notification issued regarding the test, it has been directed that all the passengers arriving at Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar and Multan airports should be tested and the data of all the passengers should be entered in the pass track app. In case of positive test, the passenger has to be quarantined at home for 10 days. The NCOC directed the airport administration, airport security force (ASF) and health department staff to ensure uninterrupted testing.
