A high level delegation of Pakistan is participating in the 75th session of the World Health Assembly. The Pakistani delegation is being led by Federal Minister for Health Abdul Qadir Patel.
A spokesman for the Federal Ministry of Health was quoted as saying that the Pakistani delegation also includes Federal Secretary Health Amir Ashraf Khawaja and DG Health Rana Safdar.
The World Health Assembly is being attended by high level delegations from 194 countries and relevant authorities.
According to the spokesperson of the Federal Ministry of Health, on the theme of ‘Health for Peace and Peace for Health’, Federal Minister for Health Abdul Qadir Patel belonging to PPP will clarify the vision of the Government of Pakistan in the Assembly session.
A spokesman for the Federal Ministry of Health said that the Health Minister would also brief the participants on Pakistan’s integrated strategy for combating the corona virus, which has been declared a global epidemic.
According to the spokesperson, during his stay in Geneva, the Federal Minister of Health will hold meetings with participating delegates and delegations from different countries, in which issues of mutual interest will be discussed and experiences of each other for the betterment of human health will be discussed. Possibilities of reaping the benefits as much as possible will also be explored.
