Pakistan attaches great importance to long standing relations with Turkey

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who is on a visit to Turkey, met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, after which the two leaders held a joint press conference.

The Turkish President said in a press conference that they discussed global issues with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the two countries are committed to further enhance bilateral relations, support all Pakistani efforts against terrorism, Pakistan and Pakistan in various forums. The Turkish President further said that they support resolution of Kashmir issue in accordance with UN resolutions, provide all possible assistance in shipbuilding, close cooperation in the fields of communication, education, environment, infrastructure. ۔

The Turkish President said that Turkey fully supports Pakistan on the principled position of Kashmir issue.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that Turkey is like another home of Pakistan, Pakistan and Turkey are celebrating 75 years of relations, Turkey has made great progress in e-commerce and other fields, Turkey and Pakistan are natural partners. Pakistan and Turkey have religious, cultural and historical ties, which will take bilateral cooperation in various fields to new heights.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the next meeting of Pak-Turkish top leadership will be held in Pakistan in September. The Turkish President is waiting for his visit to Pakistan in September. Enemies of Turkey are enemies of Pakistan. Yes, Pakistan attaches great importance to its long standing relations with Turkey. Pakistan wants peace and will continue to work for peace in the region.

Memorandum of Understanding signed between Pakistan and Turkey

It may be recalled that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had arrived in Turkey on an official visit with a delegation yesterday.

During the Prime Minister’s visit to Turkey, seven agreements were signed between Pakistan and Turkey.

A Memorandum of Understanding on Knowledge Sharing Program was also signed between Pakistan and Turkey.

MoU signed between Pakistan and Turkey to promote highway engineering, bilateral trade and economic relations.

In addition, protocols on technical assistance between Pakistan and Turkey, cooperation in debt management, joint Pak-Turkish climate change framework and MoUs on enhancing public-private partnership between Pakistan and Turkey were also signed.
