Pakistan defeated West Indies by 53 runs

Pakistan have won the last ODI of the three-match ODI series by 53 runs against the West Indies and thus the ODI series has also been won by three wickets.

In the last match of the three-match ODI series, Pakistan set a target of 270 runs to win the West Indies.

Pakistan scored 269 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 48 overs. All-rounders Shadab Khan (86), Imam-ul-Haq (62) and Khushdal Shah (34) were the standout batsmen while captain Babar Azam was dismissed for zero.

Caribbean captain Nicholas Pooran took 4 wickets for 48 runs in 10 overs while wicket keeper Nicholas Pooran completed the first over in ODIs.

Chemopal took 2 wickets, Aqeel Hussain, Jaden Sales and Hayden Wash took one wicket each. The match has been restricted to 48 overs due to dust storm.

It should be noted that the match was stopped for about an hour due to bad weather and dust. When the match resumed, the West Indies players fielded wearing masks.

The last match of the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and West Indies is underway at Multan Cricket Stadium.

It is to be noted that Pakistan had decided to bat first after winning the toss in the third and final ODI of the series against West Indies.

At the start of the match, national cricket team captain Babar Azam had said that two changes have been made in the team, Haris Rauf has been replaced by Shah Nawaz Dhani and Shaheen Shah Afridi has been replaced by Hassan Ali.

Visiting West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran had said that efforts would be made to increase pressure on Pakistan in the absence of Shaheen Afridi and win the last match of the series.

Shahnawaz Dhani is making his ODI debut for the national cricket team. He was capped by Shaheen Shah Afridi.

It should be noted that Pakistan had defeated West Indies by 5 wickets in the first ODI of the series while Green Shirts had defeated Kali Andhi by a margin of 120 runs in the second match.
