Punjab government is committing pre-poll rigging: Asad Umar

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Asad Umar has said that the Election Commission is showing bias. When will it take action against the Punjab government?

PTI Secretary General Asad Umar called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervez Elahi, Monis Elahi and Hussain Elahi. Riaz Fatyana, Sabteen Khan, Mahmood Al-Rasheed and Muhammad Ali Akbar Khan were also present on the occasion.

The meeting discussed the political situation in the country, including the Punjab by-elections and the Punjab Chief Minister’s election, and expressed concern over the Punjab government’s interference in the Punjab by-elections.

Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervez Elahi said that Hamza Shahbaz broke his promise made before the Supreme Court, now the Supreme Court should take notice of interference in the by-elections of the Punjab government.

He said that action should be taken against the intervention of Hamza Shahbaz as the Punjab government was committing the worst fraud.

PTI Secretary General Asad Umar said that the Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly was repeatedly crossing the party line and he was seen sitting in every party meeting of PML-N.

He said that we are constantly informing the Election Commission about the violations of the Punjab government that the Punjab government is committing pre-poll rigging. The Election Commission is showing bias but when will the Election Commission take action against the Punjab government.
