Rana Sanaullah complains to Army Chief regarding drug case

Rana Sanaullah was arrested in a drug case in July 2019 under the previous Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government. The ANF claimed that 15kg of heroin was recovered from his vehicle. He was granted bail by the Lahore High Court (LHC).

A special drug control court in Lahore has summoned Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on July 23 for indictment.

The PML-N had alleged that the former prime minister was behind the case.

PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry had said in an interview that a false case had been framed against Rana Sanaullah after which political discussions on the issue have resumed.

Talking to the host of the program, he said that Rana Sanaullah was abused and that should not have been the case.

In a series of tweets, Rana Sanaullah reiterated the PML-N’s claim that the mastermind of the bogus case was Imran Khan, while former Advisor on Accountability and Admissions Mirza Shehzad Akbar and former Director General ANF were also involved. ۔
