Vice Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Shah Mehmood Qureshi accused his own party of conspiring against him and losing the election.
Addressing a corner meeting during the ongoing by-election campaign in Multan’s PP-217 constituency, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that in the 2018 general election, my party conspired against me and removed me from the provincial assembly seat. Lost
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that this conspiracy did not make any difference to him, he became the foreign minister, but it made a difference to Multan and South Punjab, he had also told Imran Khan that if I won, this Punjab Would not be the case
“People told me not to fight Zain in the by-elections. If the vice chairman’s son loses, it will be a disgrace. I told him that some wars are not fought just to win,” he said.
It may be recalled that in the 2018 general elections, Shah Mehmood Qureshi had contested from the National Assembly and Provincial Assembly seats. He had won the National Assembly seat, but in PP-217, he lost to the young independent candidate Muhammad Salman. Was

Recently, Mohammad Salman defected and joined PML-N after which the court declared him ineligible and now he is contesting the by-election on PML-N ticket while Shah Mehmood’s son Zain is contesting from PTI. Qureshi is a candidate.
