The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court constituted a special bench on Imran Khan’s petition against the NAB amendments.
A three-member special bench headed by the Chief Justice comprises Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah.
A special bench of the Supreme Court will hear the petition against the NAB amendments on July 19 at 12.30 pm.
It should be noted that Imran Khan has challenged the NAB amendments in the Supreme Court by the present government.
In the petition filed in the Supreme Court, Imran Khan had pleaded that the amendments in sections 14, 15, 21 and 23 were also unconstitutional.
These amendments in the NAB Act are contrary to the fundamental rights of Articles 9, 14, 19A, 24, 25 of the Constitution. All these amendments made in the NAB Act should be declared null and void.
