Tamim Iqbal has said goodbye to T20 cricket

Bangladesh cricket team opener Tamim Iqbal has announced his retirement from T20 International.

Left-handed opener Tamim Iqbal announced his retirement in a social media post. He wrote in a statement in Bengali and English that ‘from today I am considered retired from T20 cricket, I am grateful to everyone’.

Tamim Iqbal announced his retirement at the end of the third ODI against West Indies yesterday.

In January this year, the Bangladeshi cricketer took a 6-month break from T20 cricket and asked to announce his T20 future within six months. Remember that Tamim Iqbal scored 1758 runs in 78 T20 matches, his average was 24.08 and strike rate was 117.2.

He scored one century and 7 fifties in T20 career, Tamim Iqbal is the captain of Bangladesh ODI team.
