Wheat and cotton cultivation has declined this year while rice sugarcane cultivation has increased.
According to the report of the Economic Survey, the area under wheat cultivation has decreased by one lakh 92 thousand hectares in one year.
According to the report, the area under rice has increased in one year while more rice was cultivated on an area of more than 200,000 hectares as compared to last year.
On an annual basis, the area under sugarcane has increased by 95,000 hectares. The area under sugarcane cultivation has increased to 1.26 million hectares.
Cotton production has declined on an annual basis, with the area under cotton reduced to 1.937 million hectares.
According to the report, on an annual basis, the area under millet cultivation has decreased by 123,000 hectares.
