The country’s energy crisis has intensified. The power shortfall reached close to 8000 MW.
The power shortfall in the country is 7,919 MW. According to sources in the power division, the total power generation is 21,081 MW while the demand is 29,000 MW.
Load shedding of up to 14 hours is being carried out in different parts of the country. The duration of load shedding is longer in areas with high losses.
According to sources in the power division, 5,227 MW of electricity is being generated from water. Government thermal plants are generating 1,591 MW of electricity.
The total generation of private sector power plants is 10,135 MW. The production from wind power plants is 1,627 MW and from solar plants it is 111 MW.
The Bagas-powered plants are generating 122 MW of electricity. Nuclear fuel is generating 2,268 MW of electricity.
