Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Siraj-ul-Haq has said that the nation is dying of starvation but the ruler is not ready to reduce his privileges.

Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Siraj-ul-Haq while addressing the party’s central council said that the government has caused mourning in the whole country by further increasing petrol and electricity prices on the orders of International Monetary Fund (IMF).

He said that the nation was being enslaved by the colonial powers and international financial institutions.

Siraj-ul-Haq said that the ruling elite was not ready to reduce its privileges and all emphasis was on squeezing the blood of the people. The child of the poor sleeps hungry and people do not have the resources for treatment but four government vehicles are parked in the palaces of the rulers.

“In a situation where the nation is dying of starvation, you will see rows of government vehicles outside shopping malls,” he said. If you go to the airports, a government delegation is coming and someone is going and billions of rupees are being spent from the state exchequer in these deaths.

Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan asked the bureaucrats, ministers and advisers to state their performance. These people go abroad and stay in big hotels with the money of the country and meet their families.
