The power shortfall across the country exceeded 5538 MW

The power shortfall across the country has exceeded 5,538 MW. According to the Power Division, the total power generation in the country is 19,465 MW while the total demand has exceeded 25,997 MW.

Due to shortfall of electricity, unannounced load shedding is going on for hours in cities and villages due to which people are facing difficulties. Generating 60 MW of electricity.

Unannounced load shedding of 8 hours is being carried out in different parts of the country but in areas with high line losses the duration of power load shedding has reached 12 hours.
