Punjab Provincial Law Minister Malik Ahmad Khan also resigned from his ministry. Malik Ahmad Khan has resigned to take part in the by-election campaign.
Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz has accepted the resignation of Malik Ahmad Khan. Sources said that Malik Ahmad Khan has resigned to take part in the by-election campaign.
According to party sources, Malik Ahmad Khan will oversee the PML-N’s election campaign in South Punjab.
Earlier, Federal Minister Ayaz Sadiq and Provincial Minister Salman Rafique had also resigned from the ministries.
It may be recalled that by-elections in 20 constituencies of Punjab will be held on July 17 for which PTI and PML-N have started a full-fledged election campaign. Maryam Nawaz is leading the PML-N election campaign while Imran Khan is leading the PTI.
These seats in the Punjab Assembly were vacated after deviant members of the PTI were de-seated.
