There is no objection to setting up a judicial commission on ‘alleged foreign conspiracy theories’: Pakistan Army spokesman

He further said that I, as the spokesperson of the Pakistan Army, had spoken in detail about the meeting of the National Security Committee yesterday, the issue of national security was the reason why all the service chiefs and DG ISI were called.

Major General Babar Iftikhar said that all the service chiefs had made their position clear in the meeting of the National Security Committee.

He further said that whatever commission the government would form would co-operate, the first government had the same option, the present government also has the power to form a commission, the agenda of the meeting of the National Security Committee was already fixed.

It may be recalled that Major General Babar Iftikhar had said in an interview to a private news channel yesterday that it was stated in the NSC meeting that no evidence of conspiracy was found, the armed forces and the leadership were being targeted and this should not happen.

After which there was a strong reaction from the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). PTI Secretary General and former Federal Minister Asad Umar has said that DG ISPR should not interpret political issues.
