Third day of cheek test; Sri Lanka leads Pakistan by 333 runs

In the second innings of the Galle Test match, the Sri Lankan team scored 329 runs for the loss of 9 wickets and won a lead of 333 runs over Pakistan.

At the end of the third day of the ongoing Test match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Galle, Sri Lanka scored 329 runs for 9 wickets, as a result of which it got a total lead of 333 runs.

Sri Lanka started the game with 37 runs for the loss of one wicket. Oshada Fernando got out after scoring 64 runs. Kisan Rajitha scored only 7 runs and Angelo Mathews returned to the pavilion with 9 runs. Kaushal Mendis scored 76, Dhanan Jaya 2, Niroshan 12 runs, Ramesh Mendis 19 runs and Mahesh Theakshana 11 runs. Chandimal played a brilliant innings of 86 runs and remained not out.

Muhammad Nawaz took 5 wickets, Yasir Shah 3 wickets and Hasan Ali 1 wicket.

Sri Lanka’s first innings

The host team won the toss and decided to bat and in the first innings the team piled up for 222 runs, in response the Pakistani team scored 218 runs and returned to the pavilion.

In the first innings, Dinesh Chandimal scored 76 and Mahesh Theakshana played a resistance innings of 38 runs in the lower order. Lincoln captain Dimuth Karunaratne was the guest of 1 run, while other players besides him, Oshada Fernando 35, Kaushal Mendes 21, Angelo Mathews 0, Dhananjaya De Silva 14 and Nirushan Dakwila 4, Ramesh Mendes 11 and Parbat Jayasuriya returned to the pavilion after scoring 3 runs. .

On behalf of Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi took 4 wickets, Yasir Shah and Hassan Ali took 2, 2 wickets while Naseem Shah and Muhammad Nawaz took one wicket each.

Pakistan’s first innings

In the first innings on behalf of Pakistan, opener Imamul Haq and Abdullah Shafiq returned to the pavilion by scoring 2 runs and 13 runs, experienced batsman Azhar Ali could not show any significant performance and was dismissed for 3 runs off just 41 balls, while Muhammad Rizwan 19, Salman Ali Agha and Mohammad Nawaz 5, 5, Yasir Shah 18, Hasan Ali 17 while Shaheen Shah Afridi was out for zero. Captain Babar Azam played an innings of 119 runs with the help of 11 fours and 2 sixes, while Naseem Shah supported him fully.

For Sri Lanka, Parbat Jayasuriya took 5 wickets, Ramesh Mendis and Mahesh Thiekshana 2 each while Kisan Rajitha took one wicket.

Second day

In the last session of the second day, the Sri Lankan openers played an aggressive game and took the lead over Pakistan by 37 runs for the loss of one wicket.
