After a few months, it will not be possible to use WhatsApp on certain iPhones. The messaging company owned by Meta has announced that WhatsApp support for iOS 10 and iOS 11 will be discontinued from October 24, 2022.
With the end of this support, it will not be possible to use WhatsApp on iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C.
Users of other older iPhones will need to update their iOS 12 or later operating system to use the messaging app in order to use the WhatsApp.
Users working on iOS 10 and 11 will be sent a message from WhatsApp asking them to update their devices to the latest version of iOS.
The message further states that support for WhatsApp devices running iOS 10 and 11 will be discontinued after October 24, 2022.
According to the message, users go to iPhone Settings and then click on General and then Software Update to install the latest version of iOS (if possible).
By the way, most iPhones still have iOS 12 or later, but there are a lot of older phones that are using the old operating system.
