A woman was gang-raped in a moving train of Bahauddin Zakaria Express coming from Multan to Karachi in which two accused involved have been arrested. The security and management of Bahauddin Zakaria Express was the responsibility of a private company.
The victim, Bahauddin Zakaria, was traveling on the Express when she was abused by a ticket checker from a private firm. He was later gang-raped.

Dr. Samia Syed, Additional Police Surgeon, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center, said that the 25-year-old woman was brought to the City Railway Police Station Hospital on Sunday night. She went to visit her children in Muzaffargarh area of Punjab.
She said that she was returning home in Orangi Town area of Karachi when a ticket checker in Rohri near Sukkur and others told her that she was being transferred to AC (air conditioner) compartment of the train.
Dr. Samia Syed said that two or three persons tied the woman’s face with clothes, the accused also tortured her as she had three to four marks of torture on her body and gang-raped her.
The Additional Police Surgeon said that the medical examination confirmed that the woman had been gang-raped and she was brought to the Medico-Legal Department of Jinnah Hospital on May 29 at around 11:30 pm.

Dr. Samia Syed said that the clothes of the victim were sealed with samples for semen serology and DNA profiling and cross-matching.
The Additional Police Surgeon opined that we need to know the arrival time of the train in Karachi as it is on the route between Rohri, Multan and Karachi, so we will know when the incident took place.
Attempts were made to contact Asad Unar, SHO of City Railway Station, regarding the incident but he refrained from giving information to the media.
However, according to the contents of the FIR shared on social media, the complainant said that she went to visit her children in Muzaffargarh. The Railway Police has registered an FIR against three employees of a private train service under Sections 376 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Meanwhile, according to a Railway Police spokesperson, IG Railway Police Faisal Shahkar took notice of the incident and ordered immediate arrest of the accused.
Special teams have been formed to arrest the accused.
IG Railways Faisal Shahkar said that the accused would be arrested soon and brought to justice.
According to the statement of the railway police, rape is a heinous crime and the railway police will try to get them severely punished by the relevant court.
Meanwhile, after receiving information from the railways, two accused involved in the incident have been arrested and teams of railway police are conducting raids to nab the third.
