Emal Mustafa was born on 14 May 1986 in Koch Barana in Kabul, Afghanistan. Emal Mustafa finished his early education from Afghanistan. In 2001 he moved to Netherlands and continues his secondary education in Holland. He started practicing music with Hamayoun Nagiyalai (son of Ustad Faqir Mohamad Nagiyalai) and he joined Dutch music school to learn western music style.

His first performance was in Holland Afghan Community. Emal received a good and cheering response from the audience which gaved him energy to become a singer. He is popular in Afghanistan and several other countries.

He also performs in private parties, music stage shows. Emal works with his brother Akmal Mustafa.
